Our Values

The five core values that guide how CIO Landing serves clients, supports our team, and makes decisions, and how we defined them using the EOS model.

Key takeaways
  • CIO Landing has five core values: People First, Integrity, Focus on Needs, Initiative, and Take Ownership.
  • We defined them using the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), the same framework we use to run the company.
  • They guide how we serve clients, how we hire, and how we make decisions every day.

Our five core values

1

People First

Technology is powerful, but people always come first. We believe great IT is about empowering individuals, supporting teams, and helping businesses succeed. Every recommendation we make is guided by human judgment, accountability, and a commitment to helping our clients and employees thrive.

2

Integrity

Trust is the foundation of every relationship we build. Our clients rely on us to protect their systems, data, and businesses, and we take that responsibility seriously. We act with honesty, transparency, and professionalism in everything we do, earning confidence through our actions every day.

3

Focus on Needs

We solve business problems, not just technology challenges. Instead of chasing trends or the latest shiny object, we focus on understanding our clients' real needs and delivering solutions that create meaningful outcomes. Our success is measured by the value we create, not by the technology we deploy.

4

Initiative

We don't wait for problems to become emergencies. We proactively look for opportunities to improve, protect, and strengthen our clients' businesses. By asking the right questions, anticipating challenges, and taking action early, we help organizations stay ahead and achieve better results.

5

Take Ownership

When an issue arises, we own it through resolution. We take personal responsibility for outcomes, communicate clearly, and follow through on our commitments. Our clients know they can count on us because we treat their success as our own and remain accountable every step of the way.

How we created our values: the EOS model

We defined our core values using the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), a business framework created by Gino Wickman and described in his book Traction. EOS helps leadership teams get clear on where the company is going, who belongs on the team, and how work gets done.

In EOS, core values are not slogans. They are a small set of principles that describe the people who already make the company great. Leaders identify the traits shared by their best team members, narrow them down to a handful, and then use them to hire, review, recognize, and make decisions.

EOS is built on six key components. Our core values sit inside the first one, Vision, and they connect to all the others:

1. VisionGetting everyone aligned on where the company is going and how it will get there. Core values and core focus are defined here.
2. PeopleHaving the right people in the right seats. "Right people" means people who share the company's core values.
3. DataManaging the business with a few objective numbers, reviewed every week, instead of opinions and feelings.
4. IssuesIdentifying, discussing, and solving problems at the root so they do not come back.
5. ProcessDocumenting the core ways the company works, and making sure everyone follows them, so clients get a consistent experience.
6. TractionBringing discipline and accountability to execution through 90-day priorities ("Rocks") and a regular meeting rhythm.

For our clients, this means the team supporting your business shares the same values, works from documented processes, and is held to measurable goals.

At CIO Landing, our core values are more than words on a wall. They guide how we serve our clients, support one another, and make decisions every day. They define who we are, how we work, and what our clients can expect from every interaction with our team.
